The only available American variety that is reliably self-fertile. It was developed by noted fruit breeder Elwyn Meader of New Hampshire. Luscious and rich fruits when they ripen on the tree after the first few frosts, these orange globes hang long after the showy fall leaves drop. Beautiful and tasty!
It is upright growing, very cold hardy, and is among the first to ripen, doing well even in areas with cool summers.Â
