Vitis vinifera ‘Siegerrebe’

A very early-ripening, late-blooming, pink wine grape that is also great for eating fresh. From Germany, where its name translates as “victory vine”! A cold-tolerant daughter of the venerable Madeleine Angevine, it has a Muscat bouquet, moderate production and vigor, and low acid at maturity. It makes a good quality white wine, even in cool summers. Grows in USDA Zone 5-9. Ripens in Sept. in the PNW.
